Rabbit Hill Farm Olympics

The 4th Annual Rabbit Hill Farm Olympics was, this year, a day devoted to ponies!!!! It was a beautiful day, sunny, warm and clear & excitement was running high! We started the morning with Sit-a-buck Patty Baker was unbeatable and took home the $70.00 pot! Next we moved on to Add-a-jump. It was a battle to the end of the 19 jump course between Patty Baker & Cailah Carroll, with Cailah & Clovercroft Buster Bunny emerging victorious! Our next event, a favorite of all, was the Six Bar. The competition was fierce but in the end the small pony hunter Clovercroft Love Bunny & Cailah Carroll jumped the 4'0 Six Bar, just barely dislodging it. Madeline McDermott kept the pressure on Cailah, but just missed the 4'0 mark. We then focused on the "Monster Wall"! Our puissance took us to a nail biting 4'3! (remember these are all ponies!!!) Erica Shannon & Nicole Santulli ended in a tie at the tremendous wall; Megan McDermott & Clovercroft Cinnabunny, not wanting to be outdone, took a shot at the huge wall.....cleared it.....then summersaulted on the other side.....the pair stood up and promptly asked if that counted as out!!! The Costume class was hilarious! "Pat Sajack" (Cailah Carroll) & "Vanna White" (Clovercroft Love Bunny) won the most creative costume. Erica Shannon & Wicked Witch Clovercroft Strawbunny were the scariest contestants. Mrs. Clause (Megan McDermott) & Rudolf (Clovercroft Cinnabunny) won the most X-mass spirit. Last but not least, and very dear to my heart, the essance of Rabbit Hill was won by The Bunny (Clovercroft Sunnybunny) & the Carrot (Maddy McDermott)
Our Special Year End Awards:
The Grace Award for the fall of the year was won by Carrie Egan
The Sportsmanship Award was won by Madeline McDermott

Very sadly missed
"Waffles" has been with us since the late '80's. We were fortunate enough to have had this wonderful pony for most of his long life. In the time he shared with us he touched countless lives, from trainer to child, from up - downs to halloween costumes to the show ring, few at Rabbit Hill weren't touched by this wonderful pony. I think its often times that we forget to honor the unsung hero of our sport - We will never forget you Waffles - I hope you run in the green fields forever.

The Annual Rabbit Hill Farm Olympics were once again a huge success!!! All the Parents really came through with food and prizes for everyone!!!! The kids had a blast and did very well!

The results are as follows:
- The Grooms Class was won by Megan McDermott & Snow Bunny
- The No Stirrups Marathon ended in a tie between Kristen Lutz, Megan McDermott, and Madeline McDermott. Splitting a $100.00 Grand Prize!!!!
- The Gymnastics Class was won by Gillian Binnie & No Bunny But Me
- The Pony Six Bar was won by Kristen Lutz & Mickey LaLa at 3'9''!!!!! Sarah Garnett & Clovercroft Buster Bunny were close behind clearing 3'6''!
- The Horse Six Bar was won by Nicole Santulli & Peppermint Patty at 5'0''!!!! Kyrsten Johnson was right on Nicole's tail jumping an impressive 4'9''!
- The Add a Jump (a) was won by Megan McDermott & Snow Bunny, jumping an 11 jump course!!!
- The Add a Jump (b) was won by Erica Shannon & No Bunny Like Me, jumping a 21 jump course!!!
- The Gamblers Choice was won Nicole Santulli & Peppermint Patty, with the 4'9 Joker fence her score was an impressive 1125!
- The Pony Puissance was won by Kristen Lutz & Mickey LaLa at 3'6''!!!! Cailah Carroll & Clovercroft Strawbunny were hot on Krissy's heels clearing the wall at 3'6''!
Each year we give a few special awards........
- The Sportsmanship Award went to Madeline McDermott
- The Most Improved Award went to Kyrsten Johnson
- Best Child Rider was Kristen Lutz
- The "Grace" Award for the fall of the year went to Taylor Axtell
- The High Point Team Award went to the "Wascally Wabbits" the team was made up of Lia Poin (capt.), Kristen Lutz, & Megan McDermott.
- The 1st installment of the Pattyism award went to who else.......Patty Baker!!!!
